Beijing International Music Festival & Academy

Overview

Established in 2004, Beijing International Music Festival  & Academy   (BIMFA) was the first and is currently the only annual international music festival of its kind in China. Open to pianists, string players and selected wind instrumentalists of all nationalities, BIMFA is a two-week program bringing together established performing artists and teachers from around the world in a unique collaboration in music to promote high-level teaching, performance and cultural harmony. In addition, our extensive 2008 Shanghai cultural and excursion program offers students multiple opportunities for exploration and discovery. 

Venue

The 2008 Festival will take place on the campus of the prestigious Shanghai Conservatory of Music in China's largest and most modern city, Shanghai. Participants will reside in the conservatory dormitory with modern facility, including air-conditioning and private bathroom with shower. Two to three students will share a room, and three meals are served daily in the cafeteria.

Time

The 2008 festival will take place from August 15 to 28, 2008 for a period of 2 weeks.
